Member for Coffs Harbour ![]() Andrew Fraser was first elected to Parliament as the member for Coffs Harbour on 3 November 1990 and has re-contested five elections since then. Andrew grew up in Newcastle and was educated at Kahibah Primary School and Whitebridge High Schools. Prior to entering Parliament Mr Fraser was employed as a Finance and Insurance Broker, a Take-Away Food Shop Proprietor and a Caravan Park Proprietor. Some of his main interests include the Australian Constitution, golf (although on rare occasions these days), his family (married in 1974, Andrew and his wife Kerrie have three children, Alexandra, Elizabeth and Angus) and free masonry. As an active member of the community, Andrew has been involved in a range of community activities including his role as Past President and Member of Apex since 1973, Member of the Apex Board in Coffs Harbour for 10 years, serving as Youth Director and as Community Service Director, Past President and Member of Tyalla P & C Association, Past Trustee of Coffs Harbour Show Ground Trust and Past Chairman of Australia Day Awards Committee. Since being elected to Parliament, Andrew Fraser has taken on board abroad range of parliamentary duties and portfolios which have included serving as Shadow Minister for Corrective Services and Shadow Minister for Emergency Services, National Party Whip, Shadow Minister for Local Government, Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs and Shadow Minister for Natural Resources, Chairperson Regional Development and Small Business, Shadow Minister for Small Business, Shadow Minister for Housing, Shadow Minister for Forestry, Shadow Minister for Primary Industries, Shadow Minister for Road Safety and Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs. Andrew Fraser is a highly involved and dedicated member of the National Party, working for the National Party on Federal and State campaigns for more than 26 years, which have included his past involvement as Treasurer of the Coffs Harbour Branch and Chairman of the Coffs Harbour Local Fund Raising Committee. About the Coffs Harbour Electorate Located on the NSW North Coast, Coffs Harbour Electorateis 2,307.73 sq km and has a predicted elector quota of 48,330 voters at the 2007 Election.
